BAO BREAD

When isn't a meal full of colours like this worth it? We're in love 😍

Ingredients (4 large):
- 250 grams of wheat flour
- 20 grams of sugar
- 7 grams of fresh yeast
- ½ cup hot water (120 ml)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil to spread on top

Recipe:
1- Sift the flour into a bowl;
2 - Mix the water with the sugar and yeast. Stir well;
3 - Gradually add the mixture to the flour. Mix with a spatula;
4 - Start kneading with your hands and take the dough out of the bowl to continue working it on the table;
5 - Knead for 10 minutes, stretching and gathering. Form a ball;
6 - Put the ball in the bowl, cover it with a cloth and leave it to ferment for 2 hours (in summer it will take less time);
7 - When it has doubled in volume, knead it again for another 5 minutes;
8 - Form a roll and cut into 4 equal pieces;
9 - With each piece, form a ball and knead with a rolling pin without exerting too much pressure. Paint half the surface with olive oil and leave to ferment for another 40 minutes;
10 - Heat a pan with water the diameter of your steamer. Place the steamer in the pan and fill the flats with the buns, on greaseproof paper or cloth racks. Bake for 20 minutes. Take them out and they're ready to be filled.

Filling:
- Cucumber slices;
- Tofu fillets, grilled with soya sauce;
- Finely chopped red cabbage;
- A "sofrito" of onion, carrot and shiitake mushrooms.
- Roasted peanuts and cut
